There is still goodness ~ Sunday mornings on CBS

If you want to see some the good things that are going on in America and other vital information, you should check out CBS’s Sunday Morning News Magazine. It comes on very early, too early for a Sunday at 6:00 a.m. But in my home I am up at 5:30 with my sweetie as I get him off to work for the first day of his work week. I often sit down with a fresh cup of coffee, flipping on my computer in anticipation of the day’s writing, turn on the television and tune into this delightful, responsible programming with anticipation of what I will learn and enjoy this day. If I am too tired to stay up that early, I just record it and partake later in the morning. Either way, it is a still, peaceful way to begin my Sunday, the day I consider special to me. It is very appropriate relevant to my life and always inspiring. And a good dose of “warm fuzzies” in the cool dawning light of a quiet Sunday morning is always a wonderful way to begin the week. This is my idea of peace of mind, peace of body and peace of heart.

I was introduced to this show by my mother, who loved it so much, way back in the beginning of its inception… when Charles Kuralt was the host. With his passing, Charles Osgood stepped up to the task and has done well in not only adding his own personable touch, but in becoming just as endearing as Kuralt was. The program always touches my heart and leaves me feeling so much more hopeful and happy to see that there is still goodness out there amongst all the other dreadful news. Always a lovely touch to end with beautiful film of the natural world in all her glory….Kudos Sunday Morning!
